Where VT has more today
The VT Accounts Suite has been on sale since 1997, and files with Companies House and HMRC today. VT Final Accounts also has a full FRS 102 template for medium and large companies, which Accountin does not offer.
Moving from VT
Each client comes across with its trial balance, which VT Transaction+ exports to CSV from the Edit menu, and its customers and suppliers. The guide to moving from VT covers the steps. For VT on a Mac or with 64-bit Excel, see can you run VT on a Mac and VT Final Accounts and 64-bit Excel.
Accountin's filing status
Accountin is opening to its first practices. Year-end accounts, Companies House filing and the corporation tax return come first. Filing at Companies House switches on once Companies House issues Accountin's own filing credentials, and submission to HMRC switches on once HMRC has recognised Accountin. VAT and Making Tax Digital for Income Tax follow as HMRC approves each one.
