Deadlines and how they are worked out
- Accounts to Companies House: 9 months after the year end. First accounts are due 21 months from incorporation, or 3 months after the period end if that is later.
- Confirmation statement: 14 days after each anniversary of incorporation, or Companies House's own date if it is on the client's record.
- Corporation tax return: 12 months after the period end.
- Corporation tax payment: 9 months and 1 day after the period end.
- VAT return: 1 month and 7 days after the period end, from the client's VAT settings.
- Making Tax Digital income tax updates: 7 August, 7 November, 7 February and 7 May.
- Self Assessment: 31 January.
- Payroll: each pay date entered.
Using the list
Filter it
Filter by type, person and status, and press "Show". The chips at the top count overdue and due in the next 30 days.
Assign clients
Press "Who looks after which client" to give each client to a member of the team.
Mark work done
Accounts and returns filed through Accountin are marked done by themselves. Press "Mark done" for anything filed or paid elsewhere.
Rules
Corporation tax quarterly instalments are not listed. The deadlines are explained in accounts filing deadlines and penalties.
