Waiting list

A quote form for your own website

The prospect answers a few questions about their business, sees a priced proposal on the page and gets it by email. The enquiry arrives in Accountin with their answers and the price they were shown.

Written from the product on 6 October 2026.

What the prospect sees

A short form in four steps: who they are and how to reach them; what kind of business it is and its turnover band; whether they run a payroll and the number of people on it; and whether they want bookkeeping and management accounts.

At the end the form shows a proposal with each service priced, a monthly and an annual figure, and VAT shown separately. The same proposal goes to them by email from your reply-to address, with your practice name on it.

Your prices, set in Accountin

You set the price of each service and the names of your packages in Accountin. The form quotes only what you have priced, and it stays switched off until you have saved your prices and turned it on.

You can change the wording of the proposal, the closing paragraph and the button colour so the form sits with the rest of your site.

Putting it on your site

  1. Copy the snippet

Accountin shows two lines of code for your practice. One is a placeholder where the form appears, the other loads it.

  2. Paste it into a page

It works on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix and sites built by a developer. The form loads from app.accountin.co.uk.

  3. Test it

A test button in Accountin sends a sample proposal to your own address so you can see what a prospect receives.

Following up

Each enquiry has the answers, the proposal, a status of new, replied, won or lost, and a notes box. You can print the proposal or save it as a PDF.

If your practice has Accountin Plus, the enquiry also goes into the CRM as a lead, so the follow-up is tracked with the rest of your prospects.

Questions

Can I change the questions?

The four steps are fixed, because the prices depend on the answers. The prices, package names, proposal wording, reply-to address and button colour are yours to set.

What stops people submitting rubbish?

The form has a hidden field that catches automated submissions, and each practice's form accepts a limited number of submissions an hour.

Does the form send the email, or do I?

The proposal goes to the prospect as soon as they finish, and a copy of the enquiry goes to the addresses you choose. Both come from your reply-to address, so replies come to you.

Each tool is available on its own, so your clients' books can stay where they are. Prices will be published when Accountin opens, and practices on the waiting list hear first.
